The Network Management service is based on our long-term experience in this field and requires a highly professional level of our technical personnel and detailed knowledge of local networks. Picabo.cz, a.s. focuses both on standard deliveries of complete network solutions custom-built “from scratch” and also on administering currently running systems built by other subjects. In both cases it is our goal to achieve a well-functioning system that our customers can use as a reliable work tool and also a dynamic adaptation of the whole network to the ever-changing needs of the customer.

The Workflow for “Custom-Built” Deliveries

• Proposal – Without any costs to you our specialists will monitor your individual needs and according to the acquired data they will process a technical and price proposal for your future information system.
• Consultations – We provide independent professional consultations in the fields of hardware, software, data networks, phone and other communication systems, operation control, etc.
• Realization – According to the processed technical proposal we will equip your company with a complete information system, starting from the installation of cables and data and phone networks, through the deliveries of servers, individual computers in the forms of workstations all the way to the installation of the system and user software.
• Internet – We will provide Internet connection including other Internet-related services: domain registration, web presentation creation, their location on the Internet – webhosting, and also the establishment of e-mail accounts, etc.

The Workflow During The Takeover Of An Existing Network

• Technical audit – Technical audit is crucial for ascertaining the investments into your current computer network – our technical personnel will perform this audit without any commitments and for free right at your premises. This is a personal visit when our technical personnel will learn about the basic parameters of your network and about your needs. Only according to this audit it is possible to create a precise and fair offer.
• Analysis – We will create a precise analysis of the original state of your network according to the technical audit.
• Technical and investment recommendations – We will prepare technical recommendations and initial investment recommendations concerning your equipment, including investment plans for one to two years according to the acquired information.
• Mutual cooperation offer – According to the technical audit we can prepare an offer for our mutual cooperation concerning day-to-day management of the network and propose an adequate flat price based on the knowledge about common management under your conditions.
• Formalization – naturally, we will subsequently present proposals for all agreements and other formal documentation.

Network Management

The so-called monitoring – this can be arranged either as a piecework or contractually on a regular basis both on custom-built or existing computer systems. Network management proper includes especially the following activities:

• Connection of the customer’s server and network to the monitoring desk of our Company, the so-called watchdog, which will monitor the condition of the network’s critical parameters round the clock
• Maintenance of the complete network structure, including network hardware, software and cabling in good operating conditions, including related activities
• Maintenance of the individual station operability and provision of the required hardware, including activities resulting from any failures of the system parts
• Warranty and post-warranty service of the delivered appliances and technologies including custom-servicing of the related technologies
• Assurance of user data consistence
• Data back-up performed automatically and manually in agreed upon periods
• Checking up and cleaning of the system folders at the individual stations and server
• Provision of security and system protection against computer viruses and other attacks
• Arrangement and performance of regular updates for software products
• Maintenance and regular checking of the Internet link
• Keeping a service log
• Provision of emergency services in case of serious system failures on business days
• Monitoring of consumable supplies related to using the computer network and providing continual supplies
• Data recovery in case of data storage failure
